Principal Karen Macphail said Woolworths donated a large quantity of breakfast cereals to the program, which is run three days a week by assistant principal Lana Williams with the school’s student leaders and supported by youth worker Jess.
She says the Breakfast Club is targeting students who may not have had time to eat a nutritious breakfast at home.
“The aim is to ensure every child has a quality breakfast which is known to improve concentration levels in the classroom,” Mrs Macphail said.
“We also ensure we are environmentally friendly by purchasing quality cups and bowls that students wash up after each session.”
