Youth have ball at police safety talks

NOT many young people get to try on a police uniform or jump in a police car for a selfie but it was the order of the day at Webbs Avenue playing field last week after Auburn Football Club invited police to conduct a school holiday safety workshop.

Enjoying a free sausage sizzle with the juniors, Auburn Police Senior Constable Youth Officer Gabriella Di Marino and Multicultural Community Liaison Officer Osman Goreli provided plenty of tips and advice about staying safe in the community.
Auburn FC club secretary David Killic said it was an enjoyable day for all.
“We even had Bekir Bulut from Roofrite, donate training t-shirts and shorts to all of our young players,” he said.
“Thank you to all the staff and committee members for organising this great event.”
