PCYC Auburn is keen to help your child stay fit and celebrate favourite sports with a series of fun, easy-to-do challenges in their youtube Stay Active Series that can be done at home.
PCYC Manager Hayden Paterick says regular exercise is great for physical and mental health especially during challenging times and when in lockdown.
“We’re also offering gymnastics classes on zoom for the five to 12-year-olds that were enrolled in our Term 3 classes,” he said.
“We’ve had fantastic feedback from our participants as well as their parents who are grateful to get the 40-minute daily break and have peace of mind their child is still benefiting from physical activity,” he said.
“There are about 50 young people taking part and the classes have a maximum of 10 so that the trainers can focus on the whole class.
“We’re not taking any new enrolments this term but will definitely offer the program again next term if we are still in lockdown.”
