Jamila Yaghi, a loving mother of four children and deeply involved in the community, was one of 12 people who passed way in the 24 hours to 8pm last Wednesday.
State MP for Granville, Julia Finn, offered her condolences to the family and said every day Guildford, Merrylands and Granville are ‘called out’ for special attention by the Premier in her Covid-19 update but they are ‘failing to support our area through this incredibly difficult time’.
“People living in suburbs of concern need to know if we’ve been exposed and need a test,” she said.
“I have asked the NSW Government for more testing capacity and more vaccines in our area. We need more, not less.
“More rules just won’t work without more support.”
