‘100 Days of Kindergarten’ is held on the 100th day of lessons for school’s littlest learners and broadly aligns with when children have learnt to count to 100.
There was a jubilant atmosphere filling the corridors of the school last week as the students, teachers and parents gathered to celebrate the momentous milestone by getting dressed up as 100-year-olds.
Berala Public Relieving Principal Robyn White said children “got right into” the event, arriving at school with wigs, ‘wrinkles’, bowties and cardigans and carrying canes and reading glasses.
“With excitement and wonder in their eyes, the little learners reflected on their incredible journey of discovery, growth and friendship over the past 100 days,” she said.
“Amid colourful decorations and joyful cheers, the school community rejoiced in the achievements of these budding scholars, recognising the dedication of teachers and the unwavering support of parents in shaping the foundation of a lifetime of learning.”
As the day unfolded with games, activities, and laughter, Ms White said it was a heartwarming testament to the incredible growth and potential these young learners possess, setting the stage for countless more days of joy and learning ahead.
