Young Achiever finalists

SHE has only been a youth worker with Accessible Diversity Services Initiative Limited (ADSI) Auburn for three years but Alison Jones has already been named a finalist in this year’s 7News Young Achiever Awards in the Health and Well-Being category.

The Awards acknowledge, encourage and promote the positive achievements of young people aged up to 29 in NSW and the ACT.
Feeling privileged to be working in the field, Alison says she loves what she does and finds the local youth inspirational and a joy to work with.
“I am passionate about helping young people from refugee backgrounds and loving seeing them succeed,” she said.
“There are so many success stories here including a young woman who I helped organise sponsorship for so she could become a swimming teacher and now she has won a scholarship at Western Sydney University to study general teaching.”
ADSI clients also up for wins include Fatima Hussaini (Academic Achievement), Nasima Esmaeli (Community Service), Benazir Alizada (Community Service), Kamila Asghari (Community Service), Hamid Asghari (Leadership) and Jamila Hussaini (Academic Achievement).
Winners will be announced on April 30.
