‘You can’t beat its central location’

Auburn’s a cut above the rest, according to the International Barber Salon.

TAKING over the business established by his father-in-law Tony (Tahsin) over 55 years ago, International Barber Salon owners Gokmen and Jessica Tanak said they had never considered moving from the original location in Auburn as the area had so much going for it.

“We love everything about Auburn,” Jessica said.
“It’s just so multicultural but everyone feels connected and are interested in others.
“We’re so happy to be part of such a vibrant, bustling community with so much small business variety and proud of the fact we’ve been here opposite the park and near the station for over half a century.”
Murtaz Khan of Mehfil Indian restaurant agrees.
“I love how many different cultures come in to enjoy our cuisine, some will make suggestions to make a dish more like one from their homeland but I’m confident we have won over many with our traditional Indian meals,” he said.
“One of the area’s strengths is that it is just so multicultural and very welcoming.”
CIA Real Estate founder and principal Joe Salah has been working as a an agent in Auburn for over 46 years.
“You can’t beat its central location, it’s close to Sydney city, Parramatta and Burwood,” he said.
“Prices are still affordable compared with other areas and it’s the best area for investment being a high growth suburb.”
