Working behind scene for restart

GDSFA General Manager Scott Sadler says the GDSFA board has been working in the background engaging with the Office of Sport, Office of Local Government and CEOs of other summer sports in the hope of reaching agreement on a season extension.
“We sent out a player engagement survey and 82 per cent of those who responded are wanting to play a final series so hopefully our two local governments will be able to help support this option,” he said.
“Fingers crossed Football NSW will be able to work their magic.”
Sadler says the Olympics has come at a great time and been a valuable distraction to cheer on the nation.
“That’s the beauty of the Olympics, you get to witness so many amazing events, achievements and you just can’t help cheering on a person, team or watching an event you wouldn’t normally watch,” he said.
“Mine has been Archery; we have also watched the Matildas, how good have our girls been!”
Fearing the Covid kilo creep, Sadler says he has been careful with his diet and exercise regime.
“I try to get my 10,000 steps,” he said.
“I walk 5km every day; I also use the Apple Fitness + app; they are giving every apple customer three months free and I hired a spin bike so I do a 30 to 45-minute class followed up with 10-minute mindful cool down.
“Football NSW also has some great podcasts to follow and Todd from our Pendle Hill Football Club recommends Joner Football for kids.”
