The new facility will support the prevention of crime as well as PolAir’s delivery of support of search and rescue of missing persons, aircraft or vessels, operations targeting crime and special rescue, and reconnaissance and counter terrorism operations.

The centre is due to open in July 2020, and the first of three new helicopters will arrive in late 2020.
