Women’s safety forum dinner on

A DOMESTIC violence role-play segment will be included when the Lidcombe-based Kateb Hazara Association hosts a free Women’s Safety Forum Dinner this Friday night in Merrylands.

An opportunity to bring women from Australia, Afghanistan and other nationalities together to help eliminate violence against women, it will also serve as a celebration of the International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Project co ordinator Fatima Mohseni said the event would be a good opportunity to enjoy group activities, get a henna design and enjoy the delicious cuisine of Afghanistan as well as get important information from domestic violence experts.
Attendees will hear from domestic and family violence lawyer Anna Balthins who is passionate about delivering services that meet both the legal and non-legal needs of clients experiencing family violence and accredited family law specialist Gabrielle Craig.
“The Kateb Hazara Association also offers programs and opportunities for men, youth and children but this dinner event is just for women,” Fatima said.
Book for the November 25 dinner, 5.30-9pm, in Eric Tweedle Stadium function centre at eventbrite.com.au or call 0415 955 091.
