Women urged to give it their best shot with tennis

PANANIA Tennis Centre has thrown open its doors on Wednesday nights and is inviting women of all ages to come along for a fun health boost.

Centre manager Ken La says games take place between 7.30-11pm at a cost of $10 a player and you can come and go as you please.
He says it’s a great opportunity to get out of the house one night a week for a fun, social pastime that will do wonders for your health.
“The benefits of tennis cannot be underestimated,” he said.
“It’s a great cardio workout, wonderful to maintain bones and muscle strength and will also benefit your mood and outlook on life.”
With younger women as well as quite a few mums turning up for a game, Ken said some women have been attending in family groups which helps strengthen bonds and can motivate you to give it your best shot.
“We offer tennis lessons seven days a week too so it’s easy to get in a little extra practice and improve your game on the side,” he said.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to challenge yourself.”
