Facilitator Sandra Pawar said they had noticed so many women of different cultures coming through their doors that appeared to be isolated, alone and needing information about services and support.
“That’s why we started the group as a chance for women to make new friends, pick up some skills and have a chat over a cuppa,” Sandra said.
“There will be a new activity each week including self care, domestic violence protection, arts and crafts, cooking, book club and exercise.
“Whatever our clients are interested in, we will endeavour to offer or provide; we want them to think of this Friday group, on offer from 11am-1pm, as their safe place where they can come and relax, share their needs, and become inspired, empowered and connected.”
Children are welcome and for further info or booking attendance for catering purposes, call Sandra on 0452 573 885.
