BANKSTOWN Sports Women’s Cricket Club’s (BSWCC) First Grade have enjoyed their first win of the season.

Dharmini Chauhan scored a classy 54 off 58 and was well supported by Scottish debutant Megan McColl with 30 off 29 to set a competitive 123.
Maddy Spence’s bowling, 3/11 off 4, got them off to a good start, and McColl kept the wickets tumbling, finishing with 5/14 off 4.
Second Grade lost their top of the table clash with Sydney, finishing with 5/91 off their 20 overs.
Emilia Danne, 49, was the standout, with Cynthia Coghlan, 11 not out, contributing.
Wicket takers Camryn Harland and Sarah Lawler 1/24 did well with Emilia Danne taking a great boundary catch.
However, Sydney chased down the total in 18.2 overs.
Third Grade had a close game against UTS North Sydney and bowled first, with Steph Kelly and Alanna Yates helping to restrict them to 6 for 117 off the full 20 overs.
Bankstown fell just short, ending on 2 for 95 off the full 20 overs.
BSWCC Brewer Shield lost against UTS North Sydney.
Milla Bruce (1/8 off 4) and Bareen Haider (1/17off 7) bowled tightly, as Jess Robertson’s (2/11 off 6) maiden piled on the pressure.
Rylka Smythe, Lily Salter and Rayani Jayawardana helped with wicket taking, bowling them out for 134 runs but BSWCC needed to do more with the bat, finishing on 66 runs.
