Woman’s ‘critical’ after unit stabbing

A WOMAN is critical after she was stabbed a number of times at Marrickville early this morning.

About 3am today (Wednesday, September 11), emergency services were called to a unit in Arthur Street, Marrickville, following reports of an injured woman.
Inner West Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and located the woman, aged in her 30s, with multiple stab wounds.
She was conveyed to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and remains in a critical condition.
A crime scene has been established and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue.

Had over kilo of Ice
A MAN has been charged after over a kilo of methamphetamine was allegedly located in a car following a crash in Stanmore early Saturday morning.
About 5.50am, a 38-year-old man was driving a vehicle in Stanmore when he crashed into a brick wall at the intersection of Stanmore Road and Holt Street.
Inner West Police attended the scene and conducted a search of the vehicle, allegedly locating a 1.067kg package, two smaller packages containing methamphetamine, and $3,860 cash.
The man was suspected by police to be under the influence of a drug, so was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital to provide a blood and urine sample.
Investigators applied for a search warrant for the man’s home on Bayside Street, Lilyfield, during which they allegedly seized several packages believed to contain illicit drugs, as well as almost $45,000 cash, two samurai swords, a laptop and USB drives, and scales.
The man faces several charges including supply prohibited drug – large commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug – indictable quantity, and possess prohibited drug.
