An unregistered car was seized from a home on Guildford Road at Guildford and taken for forensic examination, and an 82-year-old woman arrested at the scene but released without charge, pending further inquiries.
A 43-year-old woman suffered serious leg injuries when she was struck by a car, which failed to stop, on Claremont Street on Friday, June 7. Her two-year-old daughter, who was being pushed in the pram, escaped injury.
Passersby rendered assistance until paramedics took the woman to hospital in a stable condition.
