Woman threatened with knife at home

A MAN who allegedly threatened a woman with a knife at Punchbowl has been charged.

Police were called to the home on Victoria Road last Sunday, about 9.50pm, after a woman in her 40s was allegedly threatened by a man with a knife inside the home before he fled. The woman was uninjured.
Campsie Police Area Command with assistance from the PolAir, Dog Unit and South West Metro Operational Support Group conducted a search in the surrounding area, with a 26-year-old man arrested nearby.
He was taken to hospital for treatment under police guard and later charged with destroy or damage property, affray, use etc offensive weapon with intention to commit indictable offence, two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm, and hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty.
