Just before midnight on Saturday, November 4, police were called to a unit on Grazier Street in Lidcombe, following reports a 36-year-old man had been assaulted and forced into a vehicle.
About 11pm the following day, he was found on Lower Washington Drive, Bonnet Bay, suffering facial injuries. He was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Investigations revealed the incident was linked to the alleged kidnapping of a 44-year-old man from a shop on Park Road in Regents Park on Friday, October 6, who was returned home the following day suffering minor facial injuries.
The woman is the seventh be charged, with six already before the courts.
She was charged with two counts of take/detain in company with intent to ransom occasion actual bodily harm, conspiracy to take/detain in company with intent to ransom occasion actual bodily harm, and participate in criminal group.
Police will allege the conspiracy to take/detain relates to a third kidnapping the woman was planning to execute to recover a financial debt.
