POLICE are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into an aggravated break and enter in Granville early last Thursday morning.
A woman woke about 4.10am to find a man allegedly lying on top of her in her Bennalong Street home.
She pushed him off and screamed, and the man ran off. Her husband chased the man before losing sight of him running in the direction of William Street.
The man is also alleged to have taken a wallet from the home.
About 5.20am the same morning, police allege the man made several purchases using the husband’s bank card at Granville Railway Station.
Detectives have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with their investigation. He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Asian appearance, with a thin build.

Seize over 150 plants
MORE than 150 cannabis plants were seized by police after a hydroponic house was located in Merrylands.
Cumberland Police started an investigation after allegedly receiving information about the cultivation of cannabis at a house on Morgan Street, Merrylands.
About 6.30am last Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at the house and located a hydroponic set-up across multiple rooms. Police also seized documentation and clothing items.
No one was home at the time and no arrests have been made.

Armed robbery arrest
DETECTIVES investigating a series of armed robberies in recent weeks, have charged a teenage boy over his alleged role in two of them.
Just after 5.30pm on Thursday, August 15, two men – one armed with a pistol – entered a mixed business on the corner of Water Street and Woodburn Road, Auburn. One of the men allegedly threatened an employee and demanded cash, before the pair left the premises with cash and cigarettes.
In a separate incident, three men – one allegedly armed with firearm – entered a business on George Street, Clyde, about 8pm on Wednesday, August 21. The men attempted to gain entry through a second door, however, they were unsuccessful and left the premises. They were last seen running southbound along George Street.
Police are also investigating another two alleged armed robberies in Auburn on Wednesday, August 21 and Friday, September 13.
Following extensive inquiries, strike force detectives executed two search warrants at homes in South Granville and Berala last Tuesday morning and seized a Toyota Camry, mobile phones and clothing.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested at the South Granville home and charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon and attempted robbery while armed with dangerous weapon.
Police will allege in court that the teen was involved in the armed robbery at Auburn on Thursday, August 15 and the attempted armed robbery at Clyde on Wednesday, August 21.
Investigations under Strike Force Browallia are continuing.
