Witness appeal in scooter, truck ram

POLICE are appealing for public assistance after a crash involving a mobility scooter and a truck in Guildford West on Saturday.

About 10.50am, emergency services were called to Fairfield Road, following reports a woman on a mobility scooter had been injured after being struck by a flatbed tow truck while on the roadway.
The woman, believed to be in her 70s, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Cumberland Police spoke with the driver of the truck, a 58-year year old man, who was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision in the area at the time or any further information, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
