She was a passenger in Subaru Impreza which collided with a Lexus near the intersection of Payten Avenue about 9.50pm, before the Subaru lost control, mounted the kerb and hit a tree.
The 18-year-old driver suffered chest and pelvic injuries, while another passenger, aged 18, also suffered chest and leg injuries – with both taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The Subaru caught alight and a number of members of the public stopped and removed the occupants from the vehicle.
Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze before it spread to nearby properties.
The driver of the Lexus, a 28-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to hospital to undergo mandatory testing.
A 41-year-old man who provided assistance was treated for smoke inhalation before later attending hospital for treatment.
