Investing in a quality pair can set you back hundreds of dollars and like with any investment, it’s a good idea to take care of your purchase.
That’s where Sneaker Service in Old Guildford comes into the picture, with the team of experts dedicated to restoring the original beauty of your shoes with the latest cleaning techniques and products at prices ranging from $25-$45 a pair and discounts on three pairs or more.
Sneaker Service founder and owner Raymond Bates is a self-confessed shoe lover and his passion for producing quality cleaning results and great customer service, has seen him just announced as winner of the New Business category in the Cumberland Local Business Awards.
The 20-year-old is also an engineer, has a part-time renovation business and is a Lebanese wedding drummer.
With two full-time staff at Sneaker Service – Business Manager Ahmad Toufan and Cleaning Manager Ali Toufanhe – Raymond said he had always been obsessed with shoes.
“I worked at FootLocker and took pride in having all the shoes as well as my own, always looking immaculate and realised I was very good at it,” he said.
“So I started Sneaker Service in 2019 before having to close during the pandemic in 2020.
“I relaunched in early in 2023 and since April, we’ve cleaned at least 2,000 pairs of sneakers.
“Other businesses have now started up but we ‘hand clean’ our sneakers and that is our sole focus, I’m not trying to sell other products too.
“I am lucky to have such loyal customers and want to thank them for voting for me and my subsequent award win.”
