Why St George Girls still in HSC class of their own

AN academically selective high school, St George Girls is opening their doors to prospective students and their families in April.

With outstanding HSC results, including 77 students achieving an ATAR above 90, 2023 also saw six students named on the HSC All-Round Achievers List, a First in Course in Ancient History and a Fourth in Course in Japanese Continuers.
The school proudly had one student selected for Artexpress and received three nominations for the Shape Exhibition, three nominations for OnStage and two nominations for Encore.
Principal Betty Romeo said: “The Class of 2023 actively embraced all of the opportunities St George had on offer while also demonstrating a genuine passion for learning, a real commitment to their studies and each other and were supported by an outstanding team of educators throughout their HSC journey.”
As well as a range of successful student post-school destinations, the school offers extensive co-curricular and enrichment programs and opportunities as well as active school leadership and community programs and initiatives.
“We as a school community all feel very proud of the energy and time that has been invested to ensure that our academic performance continues to place our school as one of NSW high performing selective schools for girls,” Ms Romeo said.
“I am confident the next group of students will collaborate towards impressive outcomes, and I wish them all the very best for the year ahead.”
The 2024 SGGHS Open Day for prospective students and their families will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2-5pm, to showcase the school and celebrate the breadth of opportunities and experiences provided to students.
