Where you can get a step ahead of the rest

WITH National Diabetes Week last week, Lidcombe Podiatry is urging residents to take the time to have their feet checked as diabetics are at much higher risk of damage and injury.

“At Lidcombe Podiatry, we aim to provide the most complete and up to date treatment for all your foot and lower-limb needs,” manager Nicole said.
“We take a fresh approach to foot care, embracing preventative measures and education to ensure your feet are comfortable and pain-free for longer.
“Podiatrists see many feet coming through their doors every day – all are unique and require individualised treatments. A general podiatry treatment involves the assessment and treatment of skin and nail conditions.”
Some of those conditions include corns and calluses, fungal toenails, Tinea (commonly known as Athlete’s Foot), plantar warts and ingrown toenails.
Lidcombe Podiatry also specialise in Orthotics which are customised foot inserts that are placed into your shoes to improve the function of the foot.
Conditions may also be treatable with muscle strengthening exercises but you need to book in for a biomechanical assessment, especially if you suffer from pain in the feet, legs, hips or lower back.
