The dynamic new visitor website showcases the best places in Canterbury Bankstown for all to explore and experience. From authentic global cuisines, creative entertainment and arts, the brand shines a spotlight on the many experiences this City has to offer.
The new website and reimagined City brand was unveiled by Mayor Bilal El-Hayek at a launch event at Bankstown Arts Centre last week.
Mayor El-Hayek expressed that the ‘Where Interesting Happens’ brand is all about spreading the word on everything that makes Canterbury Bankstown so incredible.
“Whether you’ve lived in Canterbury Bankstown your whole life, only visited a couple of times, or never been before, there are so many hidden gems to uncover in this vibrant City,” he said.
“Our vision is to highlight the best of Canterbury Bankstown for those seeking unique, fun and enriching experiences – drawing in more people and bolstering the local economy.
“Our new website showcases the cultural richness, natural wonders and most importantly, the incredible stories of the people who call our amazing City home.”
Greenacre local, Oz from The Block 2022, supported the launch of the new destination brand and said he’s proud to truly call Canterbury-Bankstown home.
“I love the diverse community – you go out to every corner and there’s a story to be told,” Oz said.
Oz fondly recalled growing up in the area and getting together with friends and family over food and a game of footy.
“My favourite hidden gem is the DMC Bakery at Greenacre – absolutely amazing food there,” he sid.
“Jump on the new website that we just launched and expect the unexpected in Canterbury Bankstown.”
