Where bowlers flocking to for twilight match

REVESBY Greens, formerly known as Revesby Workers’ Sports Club, has introduced a new caterer specialising in delicious Chinese cuisine and classic Australian meals which can be enjoyed after a game of Twilight Bowls on Friday nights.

A huge success after starting last month, Twilight Bowls teams are drawn randomly to make it fair and play eight ends before changing positions providing a learning opportunity for all bowlers.  Prizes are given after the game finishes by 7pm, with the Bill Bullard charity raffle drawn at 7.30pm, offering 10 very good meat trays.
Bowler Tony Finneran says lawn bowls is a very friendly and competitive sport and more difficult than most non bowlers think.
“New bowlers are welcome especially those from other sports who can no longer play that game,” he said.
“Most evenings a breeze flows along the creek line which makes for a great activity filled with fun and banter.
“Everyone is welcome to try lawn bowls at Revesby Greens, with memberships available after a short introduction period; we’ve welcomed over 130 bowlers since Twilight Bowls recently began.”
Twilight bowls can take player names from 4pm to 4.30pm on Fridays on 8707 6995 with cards drawn around 4.45 and games getting underway on the green by 5pm.
