The event included dance performances as well as an appearance by Peppa Pig, and Mr Clare said the youngest child to be welcomed was Sarah Safwan, born just three weeks ago.
He said mums and dads also received a gift bag containing useful samples and information about raising babies and toddlers.
“Raising a child is hard work. It’s important that parents know about all the great support services available in our local community which can help with their baby’s health and development,” he said.
