The mum of Hazel, 10 (Year 4), Lyla, 7 (Year 2) and Everly, 4 (preschool), says it is great that Greg, who normally works in the school canteen, can take over when she is lecturing online.
“Principal Sarah Casuccio and the girls’ teachers have been amazing and I can’t fault the school on providing high quality education catering to different learners balanced with their focus on well-being,” Jaydene said.
“We’ve never felt pressured to get through all of the work; Hazel’s teacher has a priority system with three main things that have to be achieved every day and anything extra they get done is a bonus.
“From an education perspective, our teachers have done an excellent job from day one and were really prepared; they’ve even been in touch with parents to check on their well-being, we feel really supported.”
It’s not all peachy though and Jaydene says some days are tough.
“I really feel for parents whose work is not flexible, if they have a child with extra needs or whose English is a second language,” she said.
“I’ve seen mothers in tears on the street and you just want to go and give them a cuddle but of course, you can’t.”
