FAMILIES in Granville and Merrylands will have to find another way to escape the heat over summer with the temporary closure of the splash park at Granville Park.
A Cumberland Council spokesperson confirmed to the Review that the Laurie Ferguson Water Playground was closed in April in preparation for the construction of the new Granville stadium as the pump house for the waterpark has to be relocated.
She said council staff were working to reopen the water park in time for next summer to coincide with the Granville Stadium opening.
