Watch youth, masters chop their way to win

THERE will be action aplenty at Sydney Olympic Park with Judo NSW hosting a tournament at the Quay Centre this Sunday, September 29.

Judo NSW Sports development officer Phil McDermott says the event focuses on introductory and intermediate athletes, including juniors from under 9s through to under 15s, along with a masters category for athletes aged over 30.
“For intermediate coloured belts, or senior KYU grades, it’s an opportunity to compete without the pressure of black belts on the mat,” he said.
“There will be three mats in action, with the first bouts starting from about 10am and the public is more than welcome to come along to the Hall of Legends and watch. Entry is free for spectators.”
