The inaugural 2023 winner of the Vince Wyatt Club Person of the Year Award, is hard-working volunteer and soccer mum – Tracey Edwards.
Club President Noel Dona said: “It blows my mind when I think that Vince joined our club committee the year I was born and has been there ever since.
“I am not sure if that is a volunteer record but I have nothing but a world of respect for him and his dedication to the Waratahs.
“Creating this new award in his honour will be a perpetual tribute to him.”
Vince said: “I’m honoured but you didn’t have to do that, I’m just here because I love being a Waratah.”
Dedicated to her son’s team, the Mighty Under 7 Koalas, Tracey has spent many hours in the canteen and helping out where necessary to make the Waratahs the very best they can be.
“We had a number of excellent volunteer nominations this year but Tracey has a great attitude to donating her time and offering support wherever she can and is a worthy winner of this inaugural award,” Dona said.
