Burke has featured in the Westfield W-League for a number of seasons with the likes of Canberra United and Melbourne City, before joining Sydney FC in 2018.
A Wanderers spokesperson said the club had a proud history with women’s football, including Princess Ibini who had been part of the Matildas, Young Matildas and Sydney FC W-League teams, and the women’s playing group was really pumped to have a player like Burke “help inspire our younger female footballers”.
President of Earlwood Wanderers FC, George Markos, said Burke’s visit was a great boost to the club’s female football activities and also an opportunity for younger footballers to meet one of their W-League heroes.
