Volunteers playing an invaluable role

WITH nominations being sought for the 2022 NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards, State MP for East Hills, Wendy Lindsay is encouraging residents to nominate outstanding local volunteers.

“The awards coincide with National Volunteer Week, themed Better Together, which highlights the selfless contribution volunteers make to keep communities strong and united,” she said.
Minister for Families and Communities and Minister for Disability Services Natasha Maclaren- Jones said volunteers have played an invaluable role in keeping our communities together.
“The challenges of recent years have further shown all of us the immense contribution volunteers make across the state,” she said.
“The important work volunteers do may often go unnoticed so this is the time to say thank you and give them the recognition they deserve by nominating them for an award.”
