State MP for East Hills, Wendy Lindsay, said the initiative has shone a light on the incredible work BEHHA volunteers do to change the lives of young adults with an intellectual disability in the local community.
Karen Burman (Op Shop manager), Judy Camac (Snr), Shirley Hanratty, Maria Evelyn Serrano, John Bluett, Brian Holland and Bob Beer (BEHHA committee member) were presented with their certificates by Minister for Disability Services, Natasha Maclaren-Jones, while Op Shop volunteers Judy Camac (Jnr), Dawn Hughes, Jan Barber, Alice Gobeli, Vicki Costello, Sherilyn Lester, Rhonda Host, Robyn Starling, Matte Duffy, and comittee members Patrick McGing, Elizabeth Sydenham, Michele Lidgard, Phil Schaefer, Bethany Flannery, Kevin Brown and Scott Schaefer, received theirs at a separate presentation.
“It is an honour to recognise volunteers and thank each of them for their dedication and significant service to the community,” Ms Lindsay said.
“I am so proud of everything they have achieved and thank them for contributing so much of their time to helping this local organisation.”
