“These people think they are above the law and need to have their bikes confiscated and slapped with a hefty fine,” he said.
“It is a blatant disregard for the law and public property. Their selfish act puts pressure on the council and the club to find alternative arrangements for the thousands of players, not to mention the huge cost of repairing the ground.”
Bankstown District Amateur Football Association (BDAFA) General Manager Leanne Millar is considerably upset bike riders ruined the pitch over the weekend.
“We have been working hard to get games played,” she said.
“Gosling has been closed for four months and now it will be closed another month due to damage.
“This is not isolated to Gosling Park, numerous fields are having grounds destroyed. We call on the community to keep an eye out and report these inconsiderate people.”
