Hosted by Gelliecrafts founder Angelica Catalan who is a muralist, signwriter and designer, the workshops will culminate in participants creating a mascot for the local area.
The creative efforts will also help inspire a series of original designs to be created by Angelica, which will be displayed in Regents Park Town Centre later this year.
Angelica said it would be the perfect opportunity for young and old to pick up a few artistic skills.
“I will be demonstrating how to create a mascot based on the theme of celebrating culture, family, friendships, individuality and the local area,” she said.
“It will be interesting to discover the local perception of Regents Park and what makes it special to the workshop participants by asking them to create mascots reflecting their neighbourhood or even native flora.”
The workshops are on from 1-2pm for eight to 12-year-olds and 3-4pm for teens and adults this Saturday, August 10.
