Well, thanks to the arrival of chick-friendly Rehearsal Studio 13 on Davies Road at Padstow, now you can.
Singer song-writer and longtime performer Lilian Galera wanted to create a space where you could comfortably leave your equipment behind and with plenty of power – so there is no need to daisy-chain power cords, a kitchen and lounge area.
“There’s already been a few big names, like members from Air Supply and Renee Geyer’s band, booking the space and dropping in to enjoy the vibe,” she said.
“I’m especially opening my doors to female artists as I’ve created a studio that is fresh, clean and feminine, nothing like the drab, ugly old studios that you’re used to; the lighting here is amazing too so it’s ideal for photo shoots.
“I’m encouraging younger people to get together after school to rehearse or for music teachers to take advantage of the studio and great onsite parking.
“Music is the best form of therapy so I am offering local nursing homes the space as well.”
Lilian said that although a lot of teaching and performance is done online these days, there is nothing like rehearsing face to face.
“I hope that more musicians and photographers discover Rehearsal Studio 13 as we are just so blessed having this great, affordably-priced and centrally-located space at our fingertips.”
