PICNIC Point resident James Kozlowski has been extra busy in the last two years raising over $30,000 for the Cure4CF Foundation.

Now the NSW Ambassador for the group, the Endeavour Sports High School Principal became a man on a mission after his newborn niece Aveline was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.
”They call CF an invisible disease because people with it often look a picture of health like my niece,” he said.
”But the reality is her lungs, gut, pancreas, liver and kidneys are deteriorating over time. It’s a daily struggle to keep her well with medication, physiotherapy and avoidance of infection.
”She’s already had close to 20 visits to her team of specialists at the Children’s Hospital as well as two bronchoscopies.”
James put together a team of runners in Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month in May last year but it was postponed due to Covid.
“We are now set to run the Sri Chimnoy Iron Cove Half Marathon on June 13,” he said.
”I have a team of 17 runners including one of my Year 8 students – Jacob Pearson – who is in our Athletics Program. Jacob has donated half of the money he earns from his lawnmowing ‘business’ to our fundraising efforts.
“To date, he has raised $4,411 and the entire team has raised $20,000 towards our $25,000 target.
“It would be great if members of the community could spare a few dollars and help us find a cure for this horrible disease.”
