U15 national boxing champion

THIRTEEN-year-old Earlwood resident Michael Kazzi (pictured) is Australia’s newest 48kg U15s Australian Boxing Champion after representing NSW in Adelaide earlier this month in the 2023 Australian Boxing Championships and winning the gold medal.
In his opening fight, Michael fought and dethroned the heavy favourite in the division, a Queenslander who boasted a record of 23 wins and only two losses.
Michael then went into the final and defeated the Victorian to claim the gold medal.
No stranger to boxing, Michael has had 12 fights and he comes from a boxing family, he’s practically been boxing since he was in nappies.
Michael can’t wait until next year when he turns 14 and the law permits him to showcase his talents in NSW.
