Deeply committed to student success, Charlotte said she was ecstatic to be recognised so early in her career.
“When I was nominated for this award a few months ago, I was completely surprised and equally thrilled,” she said.
“It isn’t just a win for me, it’s a win for all of my brilliant and supportive colleagues at GRG who have guided me as a university practicum student, casual teacher and classroom teacher.
“I am lucky and grateful to be part of such a wonderful community as GRG, particularly during such a challenging year and I hope to be there for many years to come.”
Head Teacher Science and Administration, Narelle is undisputedly one of the most selfless individuals at GRG whose actions are underpinned by her care and support.
“She is a valued and respected member of staff for the way in which she communicates honestly and advocates for the needs of others,” a colleague nominee said.
“During Narelle’s time as Head Teacher Science, the number of Science classes and students entering STEM fields have increased.
“She has also organised a number of overseas excursions to the USA for senior students to visit a variety of NASA facilities, so they can see applications of their study and possible career pathways.”
