Two more arrests in shooting

A GREENACRE man was one of two charged with murder following an investigation into the fatal shooting of Alen Moradian in Bondi Junction earlier this year.

The arrests followed the release of CCTV footage of two men police believed may be able to assist with the investigation. Two men have been already charged in relation to the alleged murder.
Mr Moradian was allegedly shot while sitting in a stationary vehicle in an underground carpark in June.
A short time later, police located a burnt-out Porsche nearby in Bondi Junction and a burnt-out Holden Commodore in Zetland.
Task Force Magnus was established in July as a policing strategy to target and disrupt gun-related and violent crime, and to investigate links between recent organised criminal activity in Sydney – including the fatal shooting.
Following extensive inquiries, strike force detectives – with assistance from Raptor Squad – raided two homes, one in Greenacre, where a 28-year-old was arrested, early Monday morning. A 27-year-old was arrested at a different location.
Police will allege that the men were involved in the staging of the vehicles used before and after the shooting.
Inquiries under Strike Force Parachuter continue.
