Two more arrested over man’s murder

ANOTHER two men have been charged as investigations continue into the alleged murder of Mahmoud Ahmad in Greenacre last year.

Mr Ahmad, 39, was allegedly shot dead in a hail of bullets in Narelle Crescent on April 27 last year and despite the efforts of police and paramedics, died at the scene.
Four men, aged 26, 29, 37 and 49, have previously been charged over their alleged involvement and remain before the courts.
The arrests of the two 33-year-old men, from Campsie and Clemton Park, comes a week after police released chilling CCTV footage of the alleged shooting.
They both face numerous charges including solicit, encourage, persuade etc to murder, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and knowingly direct activities of criminal group.
Police will allege the Clemton Park man was involved in the moving of vehicles following the alleged shooting, but both were allegedly involved in the supply of 1kg of methylamphetamine and 1.1kg of cocaine across Sydney’s south-west, with an estimated potential street value of $3 million.
The investigation was part of ongoing inquiries by Task Force Erebus into several fatal shootings and criminal activities by organised crime networks across Sydney.
Investigations under Task Force Erebus continue.
