About 10.25pm, three men and a separate group of six men unknown to each other, were at a food outlet at the intersection of Rawson Street and Northumberland Road, when they became involved in a verbal and physical altercation.
The altercation continued outside the shop and along Rawson Street and onto Station Road, before they fled.
Police located three men aged 33, 28 and 24 on Station Road a short time later – the older man suffering stab wounds to his torso and back and the younger man to his arm. Both were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
