Two men dead after shootings

POLICE are investigating the fatal shootings of two men in Lewisham last Friday afternoon.

Just after 1pm, emergency services were called to Henry Street, Lewisham, where they found a man, aged in his 30s, suffering a gunshot wound to his chest.
Despite attempts to revive him, he died on the way to hospital.
A short time later, a second man, aged 55, was located in a nearby home in Victoria Street, Lewisham, suffering a gunshot wound to his head.
He was taken hospital in a critical condition but died on Sunday night.
The men are believed to be known to each other and a police investigation is underway.

Woman charged for dog killing
A WOMAN has been charged after allegedly killing a dog in a domestic-related incident in Marrickville last Saturday.
Just after 1.30am, police were called to a unit in Marrickville after reports a dog had been injured.
Inner West Police found the owner, a 44-year-old woman attempting to treat ‘Rocky’, a 13-year-old English Staffordshire Bull Terrier, for lacerations to its neck.
‘Rocky’ was taken to a nearby vet for surgery but he died.
Police will allege there was a domestic-related dispute at the unit and a woman fled the scene after the incident.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 24-year-old woman in Surry Hills the following day and she was charged with torture, beat and cause death of animal, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic), use carriage service to menace/harass/offend, and breach of bail.
