Two Blues vanquish rivals 60-28

WESTERN Sydney Two Blues Rugby Union First Grade put in a massive effort coming up against competition heavyweights Eastwood on Saturday, smashing them 60-28 and becoming only the second team this season to score 60 points.

It was also Two Blues’ biggest victory since 2015.
Two Blues Rugby Operations Manager Randy Basra said the team had last minute changes with some injuries but it didn’t affect the squad with everyone focused.
“The team came out firing and were near unstoppable,” he said.
“Defence was brutal and Eastwood were unable to handle our physicality.”
He said they had a game plan for the day and were focusing on certain areas when attacking and defending. “There is still lots of room for improvement heading into a huge clash this week at home vs Souths but for now, we’ll enjoy the win,” he said.
“Huge credit to the coaching and management staff in our grade program who have really made an impression around the league with their gameplay and the culture created.”
While the Two Blues Women beat Sydney University 27-15, Second Grade went down to Eastwood 24-34.
