Two Blues final hope alive

IT was a huge weekend determining all of their fates and Western Sydney Rugby Union Two Blues did not disappoint, smashing one of the strongest clubs – Gordon – at Chatswood and keeping their finals football hopes alive.

In their do or die games, First Grade won 23-12, Second Grade won 38-33 and the Women’s won 27-26 ensuring the future looks rosy.
Two Blues Operations Manager Randy Basra said First Grade came out strongly, wanting to take the game to Gordon physically as well as executing their game plan.
“The team did tremendously well,” he said.
“They left everything out on the fields and wanted to show that our season isn’t finished yet.
“It’s extremely hard to come to Chatswood Oval and get any sort of result but our top squad teams and Womens team were fantastic.
“There were 10-12 players and staff who have all either played or coached for Gordon at some point in the last few seasons so for them to come back to their ex team and get a result, it was pretty special.”
The focus has turned now to this week’s home game on Saturday where Two Blues entertain their friends from West Harbour.
