Two Blues Rugby Operations Manager Randy Basra said First Grade came out firing and scored within 40 seconds to take a good lead into half time.
“West Harbour played an expansive game in the second half and scored some tries but our gents also kept scoring,” he said.
“It was a great game from our guys and they played with passion and heart.”
He explained that results from other games didn’t go the way they wanted.
“The table goes on a point systems and we were a point behind another team; we needed to win and needed the other team to lose but they also won so they got through and that means both our mens and womens teams are out of finals,” he said.
“The culture between our grade group of players has been wonderful this season, pulling through some adversity during the year to stick together as a group and it was an impressive end.
”Huge thank you to the grade coaches and managers for creating a special season.”
