Try centre program to boost well-being

KICKING off a range of programs in Term 3, Greenacre Community Centre is also calling on volunteers to assist with Bunnings BBQs one Saturday a month.

“No experience required just a desire to give back to the community and meeting new people in the local community,” centre executive officer Maria Votano said.
Some of the programs include Yoga – suitable for anyone who wants to feel fitter, happier and have more energy – every Tuesday morning and costing $8 a casual class or 10 for $50 paid in advance. Not sure? Do a class and try it out.
There is a Gentle Exercise for anyone who wants to exercise but doesn’t like gyms or high impact exercise.
Especially suitable for people with medical conditions who find it difficult to move, classes are on offer every Thursday morning for $5 a class.
‘Eat, Live and Move Healthy’ is a four-week program to help Arabic women aged 18-50, to achieve good health. Child care available and bookings are essential.
It’s starting soon so be sure to book your place; on completion of the course, participants will be invited to a cooking course.
