Trinity ‘champions’ on field, in pool

IN a nail-biting finish, Trinity Catholic College Senior Girls Basketball team have been crowned the Sydney Catholic Schools Sydney Champions.

They came from behind to win by one point with a minute to spare and a final score of 25-24 against St Patricks Sutherland.
Coach Alex Peronace said he was extremely proud of their determination and team spirit which was showcased right through to the last minute.
Meanwhile, at the Sydney Catholic Schools Sydney Championships Swimming Carnival at Homebush, Trinity students placed first, second and third in all of their individual races.
Trinity Principal Rick Grech said that excelling in sports and academics went hand in hand, promoting holistic development and character building.
“Through a balanced approach, we encourage our students to pursue excellence in both arenas, understanding that success in one enhances the other,” he said.
“We believe that by supporting and celebrating achievements in sports and academics alike, we nurture well-rounded individuals prepared to excel in all aspects of life.”
