Trinity celebrating year of remarkable achievements

WHETHER it was going beyond the school gates to assist the community’s needy or taking part in service programs to strengthen ties with local primary schools, Trinity Catholic College Auburn has reflected on a big year of action which culminated in achievement on the sporting field in term four.

Seven representative volleyball and Oztag teams reached the semifinals, with the junior girls and senior boys volleyball picking up silver medals in their grand finals, while the intermediate and senior girls volleyball walked away with a bronze medal ahead of the intermediate boys volleyball beating Holy Spirit College to claim the grand final and gold medal.
This was followed by a Sydney Championship event where they played St Mary’s Cathedral and won, progressing through to the grand final and walking out as the best intermediate boys volleyball team from across all Sydney Catholic Schools.
Seniors boys Oztag picked up a bronze medal with the junior boys Oztag reaching the grand final and picking up a silver win.
In the last week of school during the Badminton Gala Day for all Sydney Catholic Schools, two out of five Trinity Senior Girls Teams made it into the grand final, picking up the gold and silver medals.
Trinity teams also took part in their first ever Futsal Gala Day, with the junior boys team walking away as the gold medalists beating Marist College in a nail biting game, 2-1.
Principal Rick Grech said it was a great achievement for the college, coaches and students.
“It was an amazing way to finish off our 2023 year of sport,” he said.
