TLC centre opens in Earlwood

OFFERING a wide range of health services, a new branch of the TLC Speech Pathology Community Centre has opened in Earlwood.

Aiming to meet the needs of the local community, it provides a space for combined health and social work activity.
State Member for Canterbury, Sophie Cotsis, attended the TLC Centre’s opening night and has given a Community Recognition Statement about the organisation in Parliament.
“I congratulate the hard work of founder and managing director Elizabeth Lucas, who discovered an overwhelming community need for adolescent mental health services, support groups and workshops,” Ms Cotsis said.
“However this centre is not just for children or people with disabilities, this space is for people of all ages.
“From pre and post-natal classes, mums and bubs days, safe spaces and one-on-one interventions, the centre has already begun its fantastic work.”
The centre – at 325 Home Street – also offers occupational therapy, audiology, orthoptics, chiropractic medicine, safe spaces for children with auditory sensitivity and more.
